Somebody/Something sucks! </font></strong></p><p style="TEXT-INDENT: 2em;"><strong><font face="楷体_GB2312" color="#9900ff" size="3">某人/某事真差劲,糟透了! </font></strong></p><p style="TEXT-INDENT: 2em;"><font face="楷体_GB2312" color="#9900ff" size="3"></font></p><p style="TEXT-INDENT: 2em;"><font face="楷体_GB2312" color="#9900ff" size="3">在美国,你动不动就会听到别人说:"You suck! She sucks! It sucks!"。Suck 在英文里的本意是"吸,吮",而在这里表示"某人 / 某事一点也不好,让你很失望"。有很多情况下可以用到这个词: </font></p><p style="TEXT-INDENT: 2em;"><font face="楷体_GB2312" color="#9900ff" size="3"></font></p><p style="TEXT-INDENT: 2em;"><font face="楷体_GB2312" color="#9900ff" size="3">a. 昨天晚上你看了一场电影,如果朋友问你:"How was the movie? I didn't even stay through the whole film. 那部电影真是太差劲了,我甚至没看完。 </font></p><p style="TEXT-INDENT: 2em;"><font face="楷体_GB2312" color="#9900ff" size="3"></font></p><p style="TEXT-INDENT: 2em;"><font face="楷体_GB2312" color="#9900ff" size="3">"Lame"原本有"跛脚的"、"不高明的"的意思。不过口语里常把它拿来形容"很差劲"的意思。跟"suck" 的意思很像。要注意的是,"lame"是形容词,"suck"是动词。如果要把例句中的"That movie was so lame."换成动词 suck 的话,可以说成 That movie really sucked. </font></p>
